Overview
The Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme allows Ukrainian nationals and their family members to come to the UK if they have a sponsor. The scheme is for Ukrainians who do not have family members in the UK who could sponsor them under the Ukraine Family Scheme.

Who can apply
You can apply if you meet all of these conditions.
Ukrainian national
You must be a Ukrainian national or the family member of a Ukrainian national.
Residence in Ukraine
You were residing in Ukraine immediately before 1 January 2022.
UK sponsor
You have a sponsor in the UK who has passed checks and can provide accommodation.
No family route
You don't have close family members in the UK who could sponsor you under the Ukraine Family Scheme.
Sponsor requirements
What sponsors need to provide.
- Be a British citizen, settled person, or have certain types of UK immigration status
- Provide accommodation for at least 6 months, either rent-free or at a reduced rate
- Pass safeguarding checks including DBS checks
- Have accommodation that meets local housing standards
- Be able to provide or enable access to facilities and support
What you can do
- Live, work and study in the UK
- Bring eligible family members
- Access NHS healthcare
- Access public funds and benefits
- Apply for settlement after 5 years
- Move to different accommodation if needed

- No Immigration Health Surcharge required
- You can work for any UK employer, with no sponsorship needed for work
- You are not required to remain with your sponsor for the full visa period
