Corrections
How to report an error in our published guidance, and what we do about it.
Last updated September 2026
What we correct
We correct anything that would leave a reader with a wrong understanding of the rules or the cost of an application. In practice that means:
- a fee, surcharge, salary threshold or going rate that no longer matches the published figure;
- an eligibility condition, time limit or qualifying period stated wrongly;
- guidance that has been overtaken by a Statement of Changes or new caseworker guidance;
- a broken or wrong source link, or a source note attributing material to the wrong page;
- a factual error about our own practice, regulation or services.
We will also fix typographical and formatting errors, though those do not get a published correction note.
How to report an error
Email admin@wesbridgeassociates.co.uk with "Correction" in the subject line, or use our contact form. It helps a great deal if you include:
- the page address (URL);
- the sentence or figure you think is wrong;
- what you believe the correct position is, and the source for it if you have one.
You do not need to be a client, and you do not need to give a reason for asking.
What happens next
We acknowledge correction reports within two working days. An adviser then checks the point against the primary source — the Immigration Rules, the relevant Home Office guidance or the published fee table — and either corrects the page or explains why we think the existing wording is right.
Where a figure is centrally held, correcting it updates every page and calculator that uses it, so a single report can fix the same error in several places at once.
How corrected pages are marked
A corrected page carries a new last-updated or reviewed date. Where the correction changes the substance of what the page said — not merely its wording — we say so on the page rather than editing silently.
Review credits and dates are also published in the page's structured data, so search engines and AI assistants see the same date a reader sees.
Corrections, complaints and advice
A correction is about a published page. If your concern is about advice or service you received from us as a client, that is a complaint, and it is handled under our complaints procedure, which includes your right to escalate to the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA).
We cannot give advice on your own immigration position by email in response to a correction report. If you need advice, please book a consultation.
